We, the California Oriya families from the Land of Golden State are delighted to invite you and your family to the 41st OSA Convention in California. This is the 4th OSA convention to be held in the Golden State; 1987 (Stanford), 1998 (Monterray), and the recent one in 2005 (Newport Beach, LA). The OSA convention is always a great opportunity to meet people from all across North America and have a lot of fun!.jpg)
The convention will happen in multiple locations: Sofitel, a newly remodeled hotel with French ambiance and a lagoon surrounding and San Mateo Performing Arts Theater. The hotel is close to San Francisco International Airport with free shuttle service. The surrounding and hotel facilities will help you relax and enjoy the convention.
Lot of activities such as kayaking, Wine tour are being planned which will provide you a rich experience and enjoyable convention. An exciting array of entertainment programs such as cultural shows, Tiny-Tots, DJ dance are being planned to keep you entertained.
Convention Theme: Ei Mati Sei Dhwani – Coming Together
The theme is focusing on integration and the best of the opportunities available here in the Americas represented by “Ei Mati” or “This Land” and the best of the inspiration coming from our root Orissa represented by “Sei Dhwani” or “That Subtle Sound”.
There is an excitement across the whole Oriya community in making the 41st OSA convention a memorable one as demonstrated by two 15-year-old girls, Vanani & Sanuja, who designed the convention logo.

Mr Prashanta Nanda to receive OSA lifetime achievement award. 
Mr Nanda is one of the most popular Oriya Movie stars in the state of Orissa in India. He served Oriya Film Industry as an actor, director, screenplay writer,and lyricist and even as a playback singer. He was also former Minister of State of Orissa.
We look forward to seeing you all and your entire family at the convention.
